Presentation of the lab

The Lorraine Lab of Psychology et Neurosciences of Behavioral Dynamics (2LPN, EA 7489) is a young laboratory of research, created by Junary 1st 2018 from University of Lorraine. The 2LPN lab is one of the laboratories of the “Knowledge, Language, Communication, Societies” scientific cluster (see in French : “Connaissance, Langage, Communication, Sociétés” or CLCS ; click here to access the Pôle CLCS).

Organisation of the lab

Our laboratory is composed of :

  • a General Assembly (comprising all members of the research unit)
  • a Laboratory Council
  • a Management Board comprising a director (Valérie Saint-Dizier de Almeida), an associate director (Jean-Philippe Hainaut), and two assessors.

The scientific uniqueness of the lab

The 2LPN lab specializes in the study of “behavioral dynamics”, the dynamics of human behavior referring to the factors that stimulate change in human behavior:

  • biological/physiological factors
  • psychological factors
  • socio-cultural factors
  • environmental factors

The aim is to understand the dynamics of human behavior using an integrative approach, i.e. integrating theories and concepts from psychology and neuroscience. This integrative approach presupposes cooperation between researchers belonging to different sub-disciplines. With this in mind, the research unit is organized around potentially cross-disciplinary themes, with each member able to participate in more than one theme according to his or her wishes and projects.

Lab teams

The lab is structured around four complementary teams :

  • Team 1 – Development, education, learning (Leaders: Youssef Tazouti & Stéphanie Claudel-Valentin)
  • Team 2 – Emotion, cognition, action (Leaders: Benoît Bolmont & Cécile Langlet)
  • Team 3 – Inclusion, insertion, support (Leaders: Anne Pignault & Pascal Tisserant)
  • Team 4 – Risk, activity, training (Leaders: Jérôme Dinet & Antonietta Specogna)
