Master S.T.A.P.S. “Adapted Physical Activity-Health”

The Master S.T.A.P.S. (Sciences et Techniques des Activités Physiques et Sportives), accredited for 2018-2022 offers two programs:

The APA-S Master’s degree aims to train managers specializing in physical activity and/or sports, through an interdisciplinary scientific, technical, and methodological approach in the fields of adapted physical activity and health. The Master’s degree trains professionals in the field, as well as those working in research. Our approach considers physical activity as a determinant of health, understood as a “state of complete physical, mental and social well-being” (WHO, 1946). Our training is based on a holistic approach to the individual.

  • The “Conception et Organisation de l’Activité Physique Adaptée – Santé (CO-APA-S)” course aims to train students capable of initiating, designing, planning, directing, managing, and evaluating adapted physical activity programs for secondary and tertiary preventive purposes, and for the prevention of occupational risks
  • The “Projet & Territoire en sport & santé (Proj&Ter sport-santé)” course takes into account the specific nature of the public, not through pathologies, but through the territory (neighborhoods, sites, communities, community groups, etc.) and its characteristics (population, facilities, policies, etc.).
